作为此次通车的重大城建项目之一，3号线鄞奉段开通后，与3号线一期贯通运营，串联鄞南、直达奉化，打通奉化区与宁波中心城区公共交通动脉，首次实现轨道交通线网市六区全覆盖。与现有的1号线、2号线、3号线一期运营线网一并构建起城市轨道交通 *** 基础框架。
